About Modique Couture

Modique Couture creates knit fabric on obsolete, manually-operated vintage looms called “knitting machines.” The knit fabric is shaped and sewn into garments and accessories.  All garments are finished by hand.  Luxury fiber is sourced locally and from the across the country and Canada; most of it is hand-dyed exclusively for Modique Couture in collaboration with DebbieDuckYarns in Fuquay-Varina, North Carolina.  Modique Couture creations are knit by Eris Swanstrom using stream-of-consciousness design, producing one-of-a-kind wearable pieces of art.
